The Internet Rights Forum is a private body, supported by the French government, which aims at organizing debates about the uses and rules of online activities, and giving advice to the Government on these topics. On 1st December 2005, the Internet Rights Forum, with participation of the Directorate of French Archives, took a recommendation about the "Electronic preservation of documents", intended for the private sector, but also useful for the public agencies. It defines the conditions in which it is possible to maintain integrity and authenticity of electronic records.
